Finally, Season 5 of Warzone 2 and MW2 has arrived, and the patch has introduced a huge amount of new content to the game.

Whether it's the FR Avancer AR, the Carrack .300 sniper, or the set of new multiplayer maps, there's plenty for the community to get stuck into.

However (as expected), the major update has led to a variety of strange bugs, one of which is actually giving players access to night vision goggles.

While that might sound useful at first, having night vision switched on randomly in the middle of a match on a daylight map will definitely affect your accuracy in gunfights.

During a Warzone 2 match following the Season 5 update, Twitch streamer Speros was left speechless after opening their backpack granted them night vision.

This ability was seemingly given to them out of the blue, but it was certainly less of a blessing and more of a curse. Randomly activating whenever they opened their backpack, the night vision made it impossible to see any enemies on the daylight Al Mazrah map.

"I can't even get into my backpack without putting on night vision bro, I'm gonna lose my mind dude," said the streamer. This bug ultimately resulted in their death, as an enemy caught them off guard while they were trying to deactivate night vision.

At the start of every new Call of Duty season, the community runs into bizarre glitches that often leave players confused or incredibly frustrated. The night vision bug is likely just another example of this, but one that the devs will need to get around to fixing.

Unfortunately, Speros' clip doesn't reveal how they were granted access to night vision, so it's impossible to know how to avoid the glitch at this point in time.

Still, looks like opening your backpack is the trigger for turning it on and off. If you are affected by this bug, it is worth avoiding that function until you're in a safe location.
